AfriFest's vision of community, culture and shared experience sits close to everything Sop stands for. We believe in the power of place — and when the opportunity came to be part of East Anglia's biggest celebration of African culture, it felt like an easy yes.

We're proud to be an official sponsor of AfriFest East 2026, returning to Chapelfield Gardens, Norwich on 15 August 2026.

But the journey begins long before August. On 18 April, New Voices, Shared Journey — Norwich's first African Summit — takes place at The Forum, bringing together professionals, creatives, entrepreneurs and community members for an open, empowering day of conversation across career, business, health and lived experience. Then on 23 May, the AfriFest Run-Up Day Party brings premium sounds, sunshine, cocktails and elevated culture together for the ultimate day-into-sunset experience — the official start of the AfriFest Summer Journey.

AfriFest East is a community-led festival that brings together the richness, diversity and vibrancy of African culture in one extraordinary day. Music, fashion, food, visual art, leadership and innovation — every dimension of Afrocentric experience, thoughtfully curated and joyfully celebrated.

This year's programme features live performances from KASIVA MUTUA, K.O.G and EMP. SEYEPAUL alongside a rich line-up of Afrobeat, traditional dance, and a dedicated programme for children including storytelling, family games and drumming workshops. Kids go free.
